LABAC is a group of collectors that are tracking down catalogs and advertising materials from ABP companies. Several THOUSAND pages of material have been published. Rob and Val Smith are the leaders of this group and can be contacted by email.

Books

I have found the following books to be very helpful in searching for patterns. While not as authoritative as company produced documents, there is a tremendous amount of information and pictures that help guide the search. Many of these are now out of print, but can be found in a variety of out of print services and frequently on ebay.

Websites - Sales and Information, Auctions

Below are a few websites that I have found that sell glass and most post information on the subject. These are provided for informational purposes. There are many excellent photographs to be seen on these sites. I am not affiliated with any and no promotional fee was charged for the listing. Use due diligence when purchasing any ABP glass.

Blacklight Source

At the July 15-17, 2007 ACGA Convention I had several people ask about where I had obtained a pocket blacklight. I found it on ebay sold by ScaleDiscounters. Their store is no longer on ebay, but many other suppliers are there.

The light I had with me has 9 LEDs. They currently have a 21 LED model on their site. Mine works fairly well, but any blacklight needs to be used in a very dark space. It is very difficult to see the green/yellow fluorescence of most ABP in a lighted room.

I use another one with a 4" fluorescent tube, sold on ebay as counterfeit money detectors. It works a little better, but is bulkier.
